John Siersma Elementary School – Dedicated: 1964 - John Siersma moved his family from Detroit to Warren in 1940. He was an avid promoter of education, serving on the WCS Board of Education for several years. Siersma Elementary is built on the Siersma family’s property where a house once stood.
